THE DEVASTATOR HUMOR BUNDLE

Curated by The Devastator's Geoffrey Golden

We are The Devastator. Our mission, as a publisher on this planet you call... Eeeerth, is to assemble the most hysterical comedy writers and cartoonists from The Daily Show, The Onion, Adult Swim, Marvel, Fantagraphics, and more to create a new breed of humor books. Funny books for humans. When we go to a book store and look at "humor books," we typically see titles like Uncle Bobert's Crapper Laughs: 2000 Jokes to Memorize While You're Takin' a Big Dump and George W. Bushwhacked: A Doonesbury Collection (2003). Our goal is to create the freshest, geekiest, most hilarious books out there, and we're solely focused on humor. No cookbooks, sudoku books, or sudoku cookbooks. So we're excited to work with StoryBundle to curate a selection of Kindle-bustingly funny ebooks by our favorite acclaimed indie humorists, contributors to The Devastator book series, and us!

Comics: Anime Club by KC Green (Gunshow, Regular Show comics) is one of the funniest comic stories we've ever read. It's the hilarious story of four otaku teen friends who are unpopular at school, who get kicked out of the library, and who barely even tolerate each other. This is an all-new color version KC Green made for this StoryBundle, so you should feel special! Tales to Suffice by Kenny Keil (Mad Magazine, Vibe Magazine) is an outrageous parody of every Golden Age comic genre by a gifted cartoonist, featuring tiny cowboys, tie-wearing zombies, and mustachioed babies!

Prose: Trial of the Clone and Wrath of the Pacifist by Zach Weinersmith (Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal) are parts 1 & 2 of Zach's hit comedy sci-fi series that lets you choose your OWN adventure for once! Zach's a certified smart guy who has reinvigorated the interactive fiction genre, and there are millions of story pathways you can take in each book. I Love Bad Movies is New York's funniest zine, edited by Kseniya Yarosh and Matt Carman, co-founders of the Brooklyn Zine Fest. Top comedy writers riff, reminisce and rip-apart terrible movies, like Teen Wolf Too and Cool as Ice in awesome essays. This is the first time I Love Bad Movies will be available in digital form! Downturn Abbey by Michael Gerber (The New Yorker, Barry Trotter series) is a master parodist taking on Masterpiece Theater. If you're a fan of Downton Abbey, then you need to read this pitch perfect take on the series and its characters.

Devastator Press: We're bringing you not one, not five, but three books. The Devastator: Fantasy is our legendary collection of fantasy comics and writing, including parodies of Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Final Fantasy, and a fully-playable Dungeons & Dragons style RPG called "Wizards of Cockblock Forest." Fantasy features cartoonists Zach Weinersmith and Tony Millionaire! The Devastator: Apocalypse is our newest collection of parodies, featuring end-of-the-world take-offs on Planet of the Apes, Escape from New York, The Road, and a Dr. Seuss book about a deadly virus called "Oh, The Flesh You Will Eat!" Apocalypse features comedians Paul Scheer and Joe Lo Truglio! Finally, we're including our first ever YA novella: Frankenstein's Girlfriend by Devastator EiC Geoffrey Golden, a #1 Hottest Selling Teen Humor Book on Amazon! It's the story of a type-A girl with no friends who suddenly becomes "queen" of the geekiest fandom in Arizona: a group of nerds obsessed with 1960s monster party songs.
