THE HAIKASORU JAPAN SCI-FI BUNDLE

StoryBundle couldn't be more excited to present The Haikasoru Japan Sci-Fi Bundle!

What's Haikasoru? Let's let them explain:

Haikasoru is VIZ Media, LLC's "internal small press" dedicated to bringing the best of Japan's science fiction, fantasy, and horror to English-speaking audiences around the world. Since our launch in 2009, we've published Hugo Award-winning fiction, inspired a Tom Cruise film, and have shown the world that the future is Japanese!

Our bundle includes some of our favorites. The Lord of the Sands of Time by Issui Ogawa was our very first title, and is a thrilling time-travel military science fiction adventure. Our groundbreaking science fiction anthology The Future is Japanese includes the Hugo Award-winning short story "Mono No Aware" by Ken Liu, as well as work by cyberpunk legend Bruce Sterling and Vampire Hunter D creator Hideyuki Kikuchi. Genocidal Organ by the late Project Itoh is a dystopian satire in a near future that could be ours. Hiroshi Sakurazaka's Slum Online is a light novel about a college kid obsessed with a fighting MMO—and Sakurazaka knows something about video games, as anyone who has seen the film Edge of Tomorrow (based on his All You Need is Kill) understands. And The Battle Royale Slam Book is an essay collection about the cult classic film and novel, with explorations from horror novelists Brian Keene and John Skipp, Japanese writer Toh EnJoe, and Batman screenwriter Sam Hamm.

And for the bonus books? Yoshiki Tanaka's Legend of the Galactic Heroes, v1: Dawn is the launch of a star-spanning epic space opera series that you cannot miss. Taiyo Fujii's Gene Mapper is that rarest of beasts: optimistic cyberpunk! Our latest anthology, Hanzai Japan was nominated for the Locus Award, and features sci-fi crime from mystery writers including S. J. Rozan and Naomi Hirahara, and fantasists such as best-selling author Carrie Vaughn and horror master Chet Williamson. Phantasm Japan features new myths and legends from Zachary Mason, Miyuki Miyabe, and more. And then there is Project Itoh's Harmony, the Philip K. Dick Award Special Citation winner—the dark utopian flip side to Genocidal Organ.

Please bundle up, and enjoy! – Haikasoru
