StoryBundle and I go way back. All the way back, in fact. Bypass Gemini was part of the submission pile from which the Big Bang Bundle was composed. Since then I've been a regular contributor and curator of bundles. I'm proud of what the site has become, and of the work I've done for it. StoryBundle has filled my ereader with dozens of great books, and introduced my stories to thousands of new readers. Over the years, nearly every book I've written has been included in this bundle or that, from sci-fi to fantasy and many points between. Even some strange little oddities that defy simple classification found their way into bundles. Today, the folks behind the site have seen fit to give me another unique distinction: the first ever recap bundle!
We worked long and hard to dream up a bundle that would give new fans of StoryBundle a chance to collect my stories at a price that fits their budget, while still giving StoryBundle regulars something brand new to enjoy. Let's take it tier by tier, shall we?
Tier 1 (the base tier) will get you started with my three main series. You'll get six full-length novels, collected into a trio of two-book combos. Are you a sci-fi fan? Check out Big Sigma 1+2! It's the thrilling start to the saga of a disgraced racer pilot getting tangled up in everything from the schemes of a mad engineer to the corrupt workings of a galaxy-spanning megacorporation. If you're more interested in fantasy, you can dig into my most popular series, The Book of Deacon. You'll get the first two installments of the trilogy that launched the series. Wizards, dragons, and mysterious races long thought dead all play their part in a prophecy that could bring peace or destruction. Maybe you'd like something a little different? Free-Wrench 1+2 contains the first two stories in my steampunk series. This is a character-driven romp in a world of airships and steam that'll take you from the lush paradise of Caldera to the toxic depths of a place known only as The Fug.
If those stories sound like your cup of tea, then you'll want to grab Tier 2, where the next two books in each series are waiting for you. That's six more novels, taking you to the edges of the galaxy, and even piercing the time barrier with Lex, Karter, and Ma of the Big Sigma series. In The Book of Deacon, you'll join the heroes in the thrilling conclusion of their debut trilogy, as well as a sample of its chilling aftermath. And Free-Wrench 3 and 4 will introduce a whole new cast of characters, including one of the most infamous villains I have ever devised, Lucius P. Alabaster!
Now that we've taken you so far down the paths of my characters, it's time to take a hard left into the more unique corners of my oeuvre. Tier 3 is where you'll find the rarities and oddities. Between is a story that takes place in the lost and found of the cosmos. It is a place where malfunctioning transporters and poorly summoned portals dump hapless adventurers to try to work together and find their way back home. The Other Eight posits a world where superpowers are common, but most of them are utterly worthless. Watch as well-meaning do-gooders try their best to be heroic with awe-inspiring powers like "photosynthesis" and "forgettability." The Adventures of Rustle and Eddy is a Book of Deacon side story that pairs up a male fairy and a merman. Together they'll go on a deep-sea adventure the likes of which their kind so seldom get to enjoy (whether Rustle likes it or not). Weird Nothing is an in-progress graphic novel about Lewis and Ray, two kids who discover their small town is hiding the mother of all weirdness magnets. Now infamous among my author friends, Structophis is the heartwarming tale of a creature who is 50% dragon, 50% oven, and 100% adorable. Last but not least is Rogue Derelict, a story set in Lindsay Buroker's Fallen Empire series, this book was Amazon exclusive until recently. Get it here for the first time on a non-Amazon device!
This bundle is a nearly-comprehensive sampling of my many literary passions over the years. I'm beyond proud to be given the opportunity to offer a second chance at collecting them to StoryBundle readers. And to sweeten the deal even further, purchasing this bundle gets you the chance to win one of three prize packs! One lucky winner will get the chance to name a character in the upcoming fifth installment in the Big Sigma Saga. Another will get a pair of color physical collectibles from my fantasy and sci-fi worlds. This includes a hand painted, limited edition casting of Myn the dragon, a full-color 3D print of Squee the Funk, and a faux bronze 3D print of Nita's Wrench. A matching prize pack will include the same figurines, but in an unpainted/white state. To enter to win, just name your own price, download the books, and enjoy! – Joseph R. Lallo
