THE CROSSING WORLDS YOUNG ADULT BUNDLE

Curated by Anthea Sharp

Step into fantastical realms with the Crossing Worlds YA StoryBundle – Young Adult fiction guaranteed to entertain all ages!

Do you miss that sense of wonder your favorite books used to give you; the fast-paced and exciting reads that would suck you in and not let you go? Welcome to the newest StoryBundle, where nine top-notch authors bring you tales of adventure and courage featuring younger protagonists triumphing over magic and mayhem.

I had such a great time putting together this collection! From international bestseller Mercedes Lackey's Grey's Ghost – a short story of ghosts and magic in an alternate-history Victorian England – to NYT bestseller Elle Casey's sassy modern take on encountering the faerie realm with her War of the Fae books, you'll find plenty of great reading in these stories that explore the places where magic and our ordinary world collide.

In addition, the bundle includes more tales of faerie encounters – from USA Today bestselling author Anthea Sharp's Royal, Faery Swap from Susan Kaye Quinn, and Emily Casey's The Fairy Tale Trap. Nic Tatano (Destiny's Hourglass) and Julian Rosado-Machain (Guardians Inc: The Cypher) bring the adventure with tales of super-powered heroes who hold the fate of the world in their hands, and NYT bestseller Terah Edun provides another supernatural twist to the bundle with her novel Accession.

Plus, we're delighted to announce a StoryBundle EXCLUSIVE! The Crossing Worlds YA bundle is the only place you can get the Special Illustrated Edition of Steven Savile's Moonlands, with over fifteen full color illustrations from artist Lukas Thelin (known for his work for Fenix magazine, illustrating RPG novels, and many other amazing projects.)

Remember, you only have three weeks to grab this amazing bundle, and then it's gone forever. Indulge your inner youth and dive into these fantastic stories where worlds cross and adventures abound! – Anthea Sharp

NOTES ON THE BOOKS FROM CURATOR ANTHEA SHARP:

I've known NYT bestseller Elle Casey for a few years now, and our books have had the pleasure of sharing fae-themed bundles, so including her in this StoryBundle was a no-brainer. Her War of the Fae series features a smart-mouthed, sassy teen who discovers that the world of the fae is all too real. In addition to her YA fae books, Elle is hard at work on multiple series in multiple genres, and is basically an unstoppable force of nature.

NYT bestselling author Terah Edun is another high-powered indie author I've had the joy of collaborating with recently. In addition to her bestselling series, Terah also curates very successful multi-author fantasy bundles on the side. I don't know how she keeps up with the impressive number of projects on her plate, but I suspect magic must play a part…

I've recently enjoyed getting to know international bestseller Steven Savile—yet another author with an amazing number of series under his belt (and no stranger to StoryBundle fans). This collection is fortunate to include his YA novel, and even luckier to be able to showcase the amazing illustrations of Lukas Thelin. Seriously, this StoryBundle exclusive edition of Moonlands is worth the price of admission alone.

I've been a fan of Mercedes Lackey since her first Valdemar novels were published, and am delighted that she contributed Grey's Ghost, a short story from her Elemental Masters series. Mercedes is one of the seminal authors in YA fantasy, and it's a treat to have her join us in this StoryBundle.

When I first started writing about high-tech computer gaming intersecting with the Realm of Faerie, I never dreamed I'd find so many readers willing to go along with my crazy vision. The Feyguard books continue on from the original Feyland trilogy—and Royal follows the coming-of-age journey of the title character as he learns (with a few false starts) to leave his spoiled rich-boy history behind and claim the title of a true hero.

Susan Kaye Quinn is another fabulous author who has graced the pages of previous StoryBundle offerings. In fact, I first met her when we were part of one of the earliest YA bundles here. Although Susan mostly stays on the SF side of things, her twist on a faery encounter was perfect for this collection, featuring an action-packed, magical cross-world adventure.

Nic Tatano adds a different flavor of adventure with his fast-paced story of a young man discovering his hidden powers. What teenager doesn't want to find out they are actually gifted with a super power of some kind? Of course, the hero quickly learns that with new powers come all kinds of new complications and challenges…

Emily Casey brings the fairy tale twists in a classic sucked-through-the-mirror story of a modern teen dealing with a magical world. Loosely based on Beauty and the Beast, The Fairy Tale Trap complements our line-up of faery themed books, and adds a fresh, original voice to the mix.

Myths and legends lurk just beneath the surface of our modern world in Julian Rosado-Machain's Guardians series. Again tapping the teenager's (heck, the human's) universal need to matter, our hero finds that he is the key to keeping the balance. Or tipping it dangerously awry.
